Dentists do a superb job of making teeth look great and giving people a healthy and gorgeous smile. There has been a boom in  Esthetic dentistry in the last thirty years, particularly when talking about such innovative techniques as teeth whitening and minimally invasive veneers.

Once the teeth look great, what about the peri-oral areas round the mouth? If the teeth look great but we ignore the rest of the face, then we have really limited what we’ve done in esthetic dentistry. It is time to give significant consideration to extending the oral-systemic connection to the esthetic fields and facial discomfort areas of the face, which dentists are rather more familiar with than any other health-care practitioner.
